Indira Gandhi Musical Fountain is located T Chowdaiah Road, Raj Bhavan Road, Opposite To Planetarium, Bangalore Karnataka India.It was created by B N A Technology Consulting Ltd, Hong Kong in 1995. It's perhaps the most technically advanced and the biggest fountains in India.Based on multimedia technology, industry standard MIDI interfaces and hardware architecture the Musical fountain in Bangalore has unimaginable features that enthrall the audience.This is the county's first musical fountain with visual image facility and is under the aegis of the Department of Horticulture, Government of Karnataka.The movement of water in the fountain is coordinated according to a multimedia Show.A twin projector projects still images on the screen behind the fountain and synchronizes the same with the music being played.Equipped with MIDI interfaces and hardware architecture, the fountain is the most technologically advanced in the country.The consumption of water is very limited in this kind of technology.A number of fountain patterns devlop into formantions and create an illusion of a folk or group dance.The fountain and the surrounding garden occupy about 17 acres of land.Trees ,shrubs and creepers make up the beautiful landscape around the fountain.It is one of the main tourist attractions in Bangalore. Based on the latest multimedia technology and fitted with 1000 nozzles, it has 15 formations and 27 combinations of fountains on a bed area of 30 meters by 10 meters. The visual delight of the light and sound show together with the synchronized rhythmic dancing of the fountains, provides high versatility in programming as well as in play back to various Indian and Western musical themes.This is where you can find Cypress,Eucalyptus,Peltophorums, Poinciana regia,Lagerstroma Flos-reginae,Silver Oaks and other species.The shrubs found in the ares are Mussaenda phillipica,Murraya exotica,Euphorbia leucocephala,Bottle brush ,etc.
