It has become mandatory to apply FASTag for all vehicles across the country from January 1. The move has prompted the RTO office to tighten its grip. It may be mentioned that after December 25, anyone who goes to the RTO office to register new vehicles will be required to affix the fastag first. All dealers across the country have been informed about this and it has been said that this rule should be strictly followed. With a waiver in December last year, the government made Fastag mandatory on all trains. But recently fastag has become mandatory even in older vehicles.

NHAI project director NN Giri said the central government has made fastag mandatory on all four-wheelers from January 1. Let me tell you, you can apply online for Fastag by going to www.fastag.org.

Fastag Lane will be replaced from 1 January

From January 1, 2021, all cash lanes in the toll plaza will be converted to dedicated fastag lanes. Under this facility all the lanes will be gradually converted to dedicated fastag lanes. This will eliminate the need to pay in cash at any toll plaza. The government has also decided to levy a double charge at the toll plaza for those who have not fastagged under the scheme.

Recharge this way

If the fastag is connected to the NHAI prepaid wallet. So you can recharge it by check or through UPI / debit, credit card, net banking.

If there is a fastag link in the bank account, the money will be deducted directly from the account.

If the Paytm wallet is linked to Fastag, the money will be deducted directly from the wallet.
