21,19,316 farmers in the country have secured their old age. So many farmers have registered in the farmers pension scheme. According to the officials of the Union Ministry of Agriculture, the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojana will easily get the benefit of this pension.This scheme is like a free scheme. The premium of this scheme will not be deducted from the pockets of such beneficiary farmers. In addition, the government gives Rs 6,000 annually, from which it will be deducted. For this the farmer has to choose the option.


The scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Jharkhand. The scheme was launched on 12 September 2019. Registration for the event began on August 9. The name of the scheme is Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana. This is the largest pension scheme dedicated to farmers. Those involved will get a pension of Rs 3,000 per month on completion of 60 years of age.


Haryana ranks first in Man Dhan Yojana Farmers in Haryana are taking the biggest advantage of Prime Minister Kisan Man Dhan. However, Haryana has a small population. Due to the awareness of the farmers, about four and a half lakh registrations have been done here.There are a total of 17 lakh farming families in Haryana. In comparison, the number of farmers registering in pension schemes in Rajasthan and Punjab is quite low. Only 35,617 farmers in Rajasthan and only 12,639 farmers in Punjab have registered under the scheme. Only 4032 people in West Bengal have registered for the scheme. While there are 70 lakh farming families here.


How much premium will have to be paid If the policyholder farmer dies, his wife will continue to receive 50 per cent. Which will be 1500 rupees per month. Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) will manage the farmers' pension fund. The minimum premium for this scheme is Rs 55 and the maximum is Rs 200. If one wants to leave this scheme in the middle, the farmer will get the deposit amount and interest.




Important matters for registration
- To avail the benefits of the pension scheme, registration has to be done at the Common Service Center (CSC).
- It is important to give Aadhaar card for this.
- If you are not getting the benefit of PM Kisan Yojana. So you have to give a copy of the land document.


- 2 photo and bank passbook
- Kisan Pension Unique Number and Pension Card will be created during registration.
The government is paying half the premium
The Modi government is paying half the premium in this scheme. And you only have to pay half. You can also leave this plan whenever you want. In which you will not be harmed. If you leave the plan, the money deposited till then will be returned to the bank savings account with the same interest.
Target to benefit 5 crore farmers
Under the pension scheme PMKMY, the first phase aims to provide a pension of Rs 3,000 to 5 crore farmers after 60 years. The government plans to benefit all 12 crore small and marginal farmers. Small and marginal farmers are those who have up to 2 hectares of arable land.
