The State Election Commission (SEC) has declared the dates for the polling for the local bodies like Municipal Corporations, municipalities, the district and Tehsil Panchayats in Gujarat.


The local body elections in Gujarat, involving six municipal corporations, 81 municipalities, 31 district panchayats and 231 taluka panchayats will be held in two phases, the State Election Commission (SEC) announced on Saturday. The terms of these seats had ended last year, but the elections were postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic. With Saturday's announcement, the model code of conduct (MCC) becomes effective in these constituencies.


The State Election Commission (SEC) has declared the dates for the polling for the local bodies like Municipal Corporations, municipalities, the district and Tehsil Panchayats in Gujarat.
According to the programme, polling for Municipal Corporations will take place on Sunday, February 21 from 7 am to 6 pm while that for municipalities and panchayats, polling will take place on February 28th from 7 am to 6 pm. Counting for the Municipal Corporation polls will take place on February 23 while that for municipalities and panchayats will take place on March 2.








The notification for the Municipal Corporation elections will be February 1, the last date of filing nominations will be February 6, scrutiny of nomination forms will be February 8, the last date of withdrawal of nominations will be February 9 and polling on the February 21. If repolling is required, then it will be carried out on February 22. The counting and the results are scheduled for February 23.
The notification for the Municipality, District Panchayat, Tehsil Panchayat elections will be February 8, the last date of filing nominations will be February 13, scrutiny of nomination forms will be February 15, the last date of withdrawal of nominations will be February 16 and polling on February 28. If repolling is required, then it will be carried out on March 1. The counting and the results will be on March 2.

"After the latest electoral roll, we have 4.09 crore voters in the state. There will be 47,695 polling stations, out of which over 11 thousand are sensitive and over 6 thousand extremely sensitive, but these are not final figures and they are dynamic. The total areas for which the elections will be held will be 6,577 and total elected seats will be 9,049," said Sanjay Prasad, the State Election Commissioner.
"For these elections, more than 91,700 Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) will be utilised. The Voter Verification Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) won't be used in these elections, as the standing Committee constituted technical Committee had recommended that as the EVM are tamper-proof, the VVPAT are not required. So none of the state election Commissions are using them," added Prasad.

Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Fresher Apprentices): : Non-Graduate with 12th pass qualification.
Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Skilled Certificate Holders): Class XII or its equivalent with Skill Certificate holder in ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator
Trade Apprentice-Retail Sales Associate (Fresher) - Non-Graduate with 12th pass qualification

Learning from home means using or adapting the important features of your school to support and enable remote curriculum delivery. This includes:
how teachers will design and plan, individually and collectively
what curriculum content you’ll deliver
how you’ll deliver curriculum content during the day and across the week(s), which may include using technologies
how you’ll assess student learning
which cohorts are likely to need additional support, and how you’ll support them
what school and other leaders’ roles and responsibilities will be
what existing structures, processes, and resources in the school you might leverage
the relationships the school currently has that you might successfully leverage, including relationships with other schools, allied health professionals, and community and/or industry partners

Delivering the curriculum remotely

Research and practice tell us that students are likely to learn best from home when teachers:
give students and parents/families information about how and when they can contact teachers
make regular contact with students and families
create and communicate a schedule or calendar that shows what’s expected of students – for example, what students will be asked to do, by when
give regular feedback to students and families on student learning progress
avoid overwhelming students by giving them too many learning activities at once – for example, a whole month's work
plan learning activities to address agreed with goals of Individual Education Plans (IEP) for students in your class, where appropriate
ensure that parents are provided with materials that align with the appropriate level of the Victorian Curriculum Foundation - Year 10 (F-10) and including A-D
plan for a blend of synchronous (in real-time) and asynchronous (not in real-time) online learning opportunities, if students have access to technologies
balance individual activities/tasks with collaborative ones that support students to engage with each other online – if appropriate and technologies can facilitate it
include a variety of activities/tasks – for example, creative, reflective, analytical, shorter and longer
Supporting students with additional learning needs

Some students may experience greater challenges in learning remotely and need extra support in a home learning environment.

Resources available to help schools plan remote and flexible learning experiences can be also used for students with more complex learning needs. As their teacher, you will be best placed to determine learning activities that will align with learning needs and the goals identified through their Individual Education Plan (IEP).

When planning for all learners, including those with complex needs, you may need to consider:
level of instruction required for parents to be able to support completion of tasks, remembering that just as in the classroom, some learners need more adult support
order of learning activities
indicating time expected to take to complete the task
ways to keep motivated or track progress
Small group learning

This advice for schools on small-group learning provides evidence-based, practical guidance for the use of small-group learning as a targeted student support strategy, with a focus on implementing small group learning online and principles that can be applied in any context.

Relief in the rule: There will be night curfew in 11 metros of the state from February 1 from 11 pm to 6 am, 200 people will be allowed in the wedding.


200 people have been exempted from public weddings instead of 100
Mandatory masks and sanitizers will be required at the wedding
A big decision has also been taken regarding night curfew in 4 metros of the state. Based on this, night curfew has been maintained in 4 metros of Gujarat till February 15. The night curfew will now remain in place from 11pm to 6am, with the government also changing the permission of 100 people for weddings. So now 200 people have been exempted from public weddings instead of 100.

200 persons are allowed instead of 100 in case of marriage.
The number of weddings has come down due to Korona Kaher, which is why the government has decided to increase the number of guests. 200 people will now be able to attend the wedding, but Corona's rules will have to be strictly adhered to, including mandatory masks, sanitizers. Strict action will be taken if the rules are violated.

Every year NCERT conducts the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) in coordination with states for students studying in Class X to identify and nurture their talent and then awarding them with scholarships. These scholarships are awarded on the basis of two objective type written tests namely the Mental Ability Test (MAT) and the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) followed by face-to-face interviews. Identification of talent comprises a two-stage selection process. While the individual State/UT conducts the first stage selection, the second stage selection at the national level is carried out by the NCERT.

2000 scholarships are awarded in the country with reservation of 15 percent for SC, 7.5 percent for ST and 27 percent for other backward classes and 4 percent for a group of students with benchmark disabilities. The question paper of Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) will cover the class 7th and 8th syllabus subjects as mathematics, social science, science, general knowledge etc.

NMMS Scholarship 2020 – Question Paper

As per the exam pattern provided by the authorities, the question paper of NMMS scholarship exam 2020, will include multiple – choice questions. The students will have to tick the correct answer among the four given options. The question paper of NMMS exam 2020 will be provided in both English and Hindi language. The students are advised to solve the previous year question papers of NMMS exam 2020 to score good marks in the exam. NMMS Scholarship 2020 Result

NMMS Scholarship 2020 – Disbursement of Scholarship

To get the disbursement of scholarship, the following conditions will be applicable.

The list of beneficiaries is sent by the state government to the scholarship portal. After that, it is scrutinized by the ministry and funds are sanctioned as per the Annual Budget.

The ministry disburses the complete scholarship amount to the State Bank of India.

The amount of scholarship will be paid to all the students by the State bank of India, once after it will be sanctioned by the ministry to SBI Bank.

The amount of scholarship will be credited to the students account as per the list provided by the ministry.

In case of any confusion regarding the list, the SBI branches will coordinate with the State Education Department.

The amount of scholarship will not be disbursed in installments. The complete amount will be disbursed once in year i. e. INR 12000 for each student.

The students will have to open an account in SBI bank or any public or private sector scheduled bank to get the scholarship.

The awardees must have scored minimum 55 % marks in 9th and 11th class to continue the scholarship in the next higher class. For SC ST category candidates there is 5 % relaxation.

Unlimited internet facility is provided. Internet facility has not yet been allotted to 4 government and 12 grant aided schools in the state. So now these schools will be given monthly grant for internet connection.

BHNL was contracted by the Office of the Commissioner of Schools to facilitate internet connection in government and grant aided schools in the state but by the end of November, only 18 government and 15 grant aided schools in the state have been provided internet connection.
In order to provide services at school level through the agency which provides the best internet facility in the district to the schools which have not been provided internet service by the company to the 9 government and 12 grant aided schools, it has been decided to allocate the grant to that school.


It was decided to allocate its grant to the school to get services at school level through the agency.

At the district level, the school will also have to get the certificates of usage from the school and keep a record. At present, the government has allotted a grant to each school from January to March.

Next Date: Necessary instructions are given regarding the planning of the celebration of "Eleven (11) National Voters' Day" to be celebrated across the country on January 25, 2021, the main details of which are as follows:

As per the instructions of the Election Commission, in order to celebrate the National Voters' Day-2021, emphasis has been laid on disseminating various technological initiatives implemented by the Commission to provide various services to the voters during the elections, especially during the Koro epidemic. For this, the Election Commission has suggested the following various activities in addition to the activities undertaken in the past under normal circumstances in connection with the celebration of "National Voters' Day" in the state.

1, focus on technological tools:

Special emphasis will be laid on popularizing the technological tools developed by the Commission to ensure transparent, free and fair election process at present as well as to reach the maximum electorate through more efficient publicity.

a) Launch of e-EPIC: E-EPIC will be launched on the occasion of NVD-2021. Under which voters will be able to download their voter ID card in their mobile or commuter.

b) e-EPICometer: A dashboard will be created for monitoring e-EPIC downloaded on ECI / CEO's website.

c) Awareness through state / district level icons and other participants:

State / district level icons regarding technological innovation initiated by the Election Commission and. Dissemination of propaganda on social media platforms by appropriate hashtags by other participants such as civil society organizations, educational institutions etc. and tagging the official social media platforms of the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer and the Election Commission in such hashtags.

2. Comprehensive Communication Plan:

Organize dissemination through electronic, digital and social media, messaging apps and small group messaging.

1. Using All India Radio, Doordarshan as well as FM Radio, Community Radio, Print Media etc. for publicity.

i. Using social media and digital media to spread awareness in urban as well as semi-urban areas.

iji. SVEEP Digital Library (www.ecisveep.nic.in) for developing promotional literature

Approved content from can be used. iv. Voter List Special Reform Program, Content / Material developed during the election which shows the use of masks / hand gloves and maintains social distance can be used by making appropriate changes.

V. To publicize voter awareness during the Corona epidemic and efforts to increase confidence in the electoral system.

vi. Encourage the widespread use of mobile applications such as Voter Helpline, PwD App, C-Vigil, Voter Turnout App, Candidate App developed for the purpose of providing necessary information to the voters as well as getting information about registration, polling station location.

3. Media Engagement:

During the celebration of National Voters' Day, media representatives should be present as well as media briefings on COVID-2019 guidelines and precautionary measures should be taken.

1. CoVID-2019 Mask widely used for Bihar Assembly general elections successfully held during the epidemic as well as for the safety of voters, Inform the media about handgloss, sanitizer, PPE Kit etc.

ii. To record and disseminate the audio-video messages of the state / district icons regarding the security measures taken in the elections held by the Commission during the period of coVID-2019.

ii. The DEO may also organize a phone-in program on radio and television in which voters may ask perplexing questions over the phone, iv. A booth level official can organize a phone-in program on community radio on election-related questions.

Use of all forms of media such as print, audio visual, outdoor advertising, FM radio, television, SMS, e-mails, social media, etc. to promote the theme of V. NVD-2021.

vi. Promoting the theme of NVD-2021 in various government schemes, public service centers and programs. vii. Display NVD and related message posts and banners DEO, ERO, AERO ua VFCS saa forward.

4. Use of various media platforms: To make social media platforms, television, cable networks etc. participatory for maximum coverage under SVEEP considering the prevailing situation of Koroni epidemic.

5. Use of Technology: As many as 30 different applications developed by the Commission for use before, during and after the election and during non-election (as per Phase-I to IV shown in the letter of Election Commission dated 07-01-2021 Extensive dissemination of surveys for the use of applications).

6. Main activities to be carried out at different levels:

The following activities will have to be organized at the booth level, district level in accordance with the guidelines given by the Central and State Governments regarding the Koro epidemic and the rules of social distance.

In the brief ceremony on NVD, the booth level officer will have to give EPIC on 'Proud to be a Voter-Ready to Vote' GAG G (Badge) to the newly registered voters in the concerned polling station area and take the pledge provided by the Election Commission for NVD. If possible, the program will have to be organized virtually, the District Election Officer will have to make necessary arrangements for the brief program to be organized at the polling station level.

ii Intensive use of video and other creations as well as print and audio-visual media. Films sent by the Election Commission, videos for EVM-VVPAT awareness prepared in local language at state as well as district level, videos for voter registration etc. should be displayed at the venue.

Gal said that the person who runs the bot claimed that the information of 533 million Facebook users came from a vulnerability that the social media giant patched in 2019.


In an apparent security breach, mobile phone numbers of over 500 million Facebook users are up for sale through a Telegram bot. According to security researcher Alon Gal (via Motherboard) the data includes phone numbers of over 60 lakh Indian users. The problem was first highlighted by Gal on microblogging site Twitter.




Gal said that the person who runs the bot claimed that the information of 533 million Facebook users came from a vulnerability that the social media giant patched in 2019.


But the vulnerability allowed almost everyone to have access to the phone numbers linked to Facebook accounts across the world. This was exploited to create a database of the social media user accounts and their numbers and is now being sold via the bot.


Anyone with a person’s phone number can find the Facebook user ID using the Telegram bot and vice versa. However, those who want to access the information will have to pay for it and this will cost them one credit. The person behind this bot is selling a phone number or Facebook user ID for USD 20. There is also bulk pricing for the data. The bot has fixed a charge of USD 5000 for 10,000 credits.





The Telegram bot is said to be running since at least January 12, 2021 but the data provided is from 2019. However, the data can be accurate considering that very few people change their phone numbers that often. According to the security researcher, users’ data from over 100 countries are up for sale through the bot.
