What to See at Nandi Hills

Tipu's Drop: Tipu's Drop is a 600m high cliff that affords excellent views on a clear day.In the past, condemned prisoners are believed to have been pushed to death from here.Those accompanied by children should exercise great caution while at this spot.

Yoga Nandishwara: Yoga Nandishwara temple is a beautiful temple of the Chila era with an inscription of Sambhaji, Shivaji's son.The dwarapalakas or the splendid  metallic figures are noteworthy.

Bhoga Nandishwara: At the base of the Nandi Hills stands the  Bhoga Nandishwara temple.It is modelled on the Dravidian architectural style.At the summit are two temples decided to Sri Ugra Narasimha and Sri Yoga Narasimha.

Muddenahalli : In close proximity to the Nandi Hills lies Muddenahalli, the birthplace of Visvesvaraya.Visvesvarayawas a renowned Indian engineer, administrator, technocrat, entrepreneur and reformist.His house now serves as a museum displaying interesting exhibits.

Rivers and lakes :River Palar, River Arkavati and River Pennar finds their origin from Nandi Hills. There is also a beautiful lake called Amruth Sarovar in the hills.
