Just 35 KMs from the city, there's a waterfalls called Thottikallu falls. It is also known as 'SwarnaMukhi' water falls. SwarnaMukhi translates as 'Golden-Faced' de route at Kagalpura (Kaggalipura) off the Bangalore - Kanakapura road will lead to a place called Byalemaradadoddi, from where a mud road leads to the falls. There will not be much water in summer and hence better to visit in or just after monsoon. The place is about one hour from Kempegowda Bus Terminal. The falls is a few kms further away from the Art of Living Ashram. This venue is a great place to for trekking and mountain hiking and just to a spend your day away from hustle and bustle of the city.It is popular among tourists, and is very much crowded during the weekends and holidays. You can also trek to the top of the waterfalls and watch the eye pleasing scenery stretching for miles.This falls is very beautiful but the road is not good.In this place there is temple called Muneshwara temple near the falls.

Not just the scenic beauty, there is a shrine as well near the fall, which attracts many visitors. The Muneshwara Temple which is situated under a huge tree is at the entrance of the TK falls. It is also a peaceful site to spend a few moments. The lush green surroundings make it all the more spiritual. The place is also good for trekking and walks. You can trek through forest and rocks. Do keep enough water and food if you plan to go trekking.

How To Reach Thottikallu Falls

To reach the falls you can boards one of the many local buses from the Majestic Bus stand. It is only an hour away from the Kempegowda Bus Terminal. However, for an enjoyable, hassle free visit, it is better to hire a taxi or take your own vehicle, either car or bike. There are various accommodation as well which are situated quite close to the fall.
